About Classical Liberal Arts UK
Classical Liberal Arts UK is a family-led educational initiative, founded by a Catholic family in the UK seeking to provide an authentic and structured classical education for their own children, and for others seeking the same path.
Classical education is the disciplined study of the seven liberal arts, through direct reading of master texts, ordered toward the pursuit of wisdom.
At its heart, the project arises from a simple conviction: that the classical liberal arts tradition, rooted in the Trivium, Quadrivium, Philosophy, and Theology and ordered towards the pursuit of wisdom, remains one of the most effective forms of education. As a homeschooling family, we recognised the difficulty of accessing this tradition within the UK system, and so began building a programme that is both faithful to the classical model and accessible to modern families.
The initiative is led by a Director with extensive experience in education, including:
Over a decade of teaching in UK Catholic schools, across both state and independent sectors
More than ten years teaching Philosophy and Theology at KS3, GCSE, and A Level in Catholic schools
A homeschooling parent, actively educating his own children through the classical liberal arts
This combination of professional teaching experience and lived homeschooling practice ensures that the programme is not only academically rigorous, but also practical, structured, and realistic for families.
Classical Liberal Arts UK exists to support parents in forming their children intellectually and spiritually, offering a clear pathway into the rich and time-tested tradition of classical education within the UK context.
